Our brain and heart rate is affected by our emotions. When we are feeling frustrated or angry, our heart rate is imbalanced and cortisol (stress hormone) is created. When we actively practice appreciation to ourselves and others, we harmonize our heart rate and decrease our stress level. This "appreciation shower" is a perfect tool to prepare before a meeting in order to set your mind and heart rate for focused appreciation and reduced stress. Ideally, practice this meditation before a meeting.
